Tom Schimmel

Some information about me. Got any questions? Don't hesitate to ask.

A bit of introduction.

My passion for design, in the broadest sense of the word, have made me decide to study Industrial Design Engineering at the TU Delft after my pre-university college years. During my time at the university I got quite interested in electronically driven devices and all aspects thereof such as the electronic circuit, hardware & software design, UI and UX etc.

Besides my interest in the design world I also like to play the guitar, something that I picked up at a younger age and learned by myself for the first couple of years. To keep my head clear I love to do some running now and then.

HTML5 CANVAS BACKGROUND - (TO BE ANNOUNCED)

Creating a nice responsive background using the relatively new <CANVAS> element included in HTML5. By introducing some smart ways to clear only regions of the canvas instead of the whole canvas per redraw, a high FPS rate is achieved.

EDDIE THE ALIEN - (TO BE ANNOUNCED)

Eddie the Alien is a HTML5 game ported to the Android Play store. Created by using only web technologies like HTML5 and Javascript this so-called hybrid application can also be published on the app stores other mobile platforms.
